Merc and its personnel have been supplying Defence Industry components on a regular basis for over thirty years.

Thanks to its expertise in manufacturing precision defence components for industry leaders such as BAE Systems & Royal Ordnance (i.e. ASRAAM, Storm Shadow, 1000lb bomb, GPMG, Spearfish…) Merc Engineering has recently secured several sizeable contracts for the Defence Industry. To respond to these orders, the company has invested in state-of-the-art new machinery including a Dah Lih Machining Centre and a Doosan Z290 Twin Spindle Twin Turret Lathe. A new Agie Charmilles Wire Eroder will also be added in March to Merc’s EDM lineup.

Merc is fully committed to working with existing customers on Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain projects and the company’s aim of adding the WOW factor to these relationships is getting closer by the day!

Merc is now considering the option of exhibiting at DSEi, the largest Western defence exhibition, due to take place at London’s Excel, from 11th to 14th of September.
