Merc Engineering Boosts Sales at DSEi

Article Date: 20-09-2007

Merc Engineering showcased its services amongst the best of defence manufacturers in September at the DSEi exhibition, at London’s ExCel, the World’s most prestigious defence show of its kind.

With a long history of defence component expertise, Merc has created 25 skilled positions in the last six years, a period in which it has seen 400% growth in turnover.

After this period of substantial growth and rewarding results, Merc was eager to demonstrate its market leading position serving the defence industry and its clients with precision machined components, and precision welded assemblies certified to DIN 6700.

Merc has recently secured substantial orders from the fast-growing medical market, and the addition of the new leads from DSEi has boosted the potential growth of the company to a further 80% by 2009.

Merc Engineering was exhibiting at DSEi for the first time. Here are a few comments from our stand members:

Les Nuttall, MD: “Exhibiting at DSEi has provided Merc easy, informal access to key personnel at all levels from within the Defence Industry, and allowed us to compile a focused address book for future contact.”

Jon Hoyle, Operations Manager: "DSEi worked well for Merc this year due to the short supply of quality precision machinists exhibiting at the show. We were particularly proud to be known around the show and received numerous leads recommended by existing clients."

Nigel Jenkins, Technical Manager: “Exhibiting this year at DSEi has helped re-establish contacts with old acquaintances and helped achieve further links within existing customer groups.”
