Following the recent purchase of new Machinery and a fast growing order book, Merc Engineering currently offers several exciting opportunities to join our busy production team.

The job is primarily one of programming the Mitutoyo CNC CMM's on the Cosmosoffline programming software using solid models received from the customer.

The job advertised involves being part of a team setting and operating the company's two Puma 9 Axis CNC Mill/Turn machines, which specialize in producing components on a one-hit basis.

The job involves being part of the team programming, setting and operating our Charmilles CNC EDM Machinery

The majority of Merc personnel specialize in either CNC Turning or CNC Milling, but Merc currently requires a Night Shift person able and willing to move between the two sections in line with the production workload.

All positions require "time-served" personnel

Hours of work: 

Day Shift: Mon-Thur 07:45 hrs - 16:15 hrs

               Friday      07:45 hrs - 14.30 hrs (37 hr week)

Night Shift: Mon-Thur 22.00 hrs - 06.00 hrs

Overtime available at either end of shift
